The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, held a telephone conversation yesterday with his colleague and Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Mustafa.

According to Albares’ account on the social network X, in the conversation with Mustafa, he discussed bilateral relations between Spain and Palestine, as well as the situation in the West Bank and Gaza.

‘A ceasefire agreement, the release of hostages and the entry of humanitarian aid are urgently needed,’ the Spanish minister wrote.

On the same X account, Albares recalled that yesterday was the Day of Commemoration of the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, and said: ‘We reaffirm our commitment to freedom of thought and religion’.

‘We work against anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, discrimination against Christian minorities and for tolerance”, he added.
