Inditex has been highlighted by young university students in Ecuador as the Spanish company that generates the most trust in the country, as revealed by the study “The Image of the Spanish Company and its Managers in Ecuador 2024”.

The report, prepared by the MESIAS Institute – Spain Brand Intelligence in collaboration with iTRUST Country Brand Intelligence, places the fashion multinational at the top of the ranking.

The study, which is part of the MESIAS Observatory of the International Image of the Spanish Company, has collected the opinion of students of Economics, Business Administration and Management, and related areas from all over the country. The results reveal that Inditex, owner of brands such as Zara and Bershka, is at the head of the ‘trusted Spanish companies’ in Ecuador, after obtaining a total of 6,726 points.
In second place is Telefónica, with 2,546 points, followed by Santillana, the publisher of the Prisa group, which has reached 2,147 points. Completing the ‘top 5’ of business confidence are Acciona and Air Europa, both exceeding 1,400 points. And in the following positions are Santander, Repsol, Atrevia, Iberia and Mango.

By sector, Fashion stands out in first place, followed by Telecommunications. In third place is the Publishing sector. The Infrastructure sector and the Air Traveler Transport sector complete the Top5.

The study, which includes the Spanish companies that generate the most trust in Ecuador, has been prepared in collaboration with researchers from the University of Cuenca, the University of Guayaquil and the UTE-SD University, associated with the MESIAS Chair of International Image of Spain in Ecuador, and is part of a set of studies and rankings that analyze the trust generated by Spanish companies and their brands, as well as the image they project and their level of reputation, internationally.
