The Iberia company is in charge of transporting to Paris the Spanish athletes participating in the Olympic Games that will be inaugurated tomorrow in the French capital and also those attending the Paralympic Games, which will take place next.
On Tuesday, the airline transported the delegation of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), including athletes and coaches, on an Airbus 321 that left Madrid-Barajas airport.
The group was made up of about 200 people, who make up the bulk of the expedition, including athletes, coaches, doctors, physiotherapists and support staff.
Last June, the airline and the COE signed a transport contract that made Iberia the airline of the Spanish Olympic team for the Paris Olympic Games, which will last until August 11.
The president of Iberia, Marco Sansavini, was “proud” that the COE trusts “once again” in them to take their athletes to the Games.
In addition, Marcos Sansavini himself ratified yesterday an agreement with the president of the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE), Miguel Carballeda, to bring to Paris the athletes of our country who will participate in the Paralympic Games, which will be held from August 28 to 8 of September.
