The winner of three Grammy Awards, will return to the Teatro Real of Madrid to offer one of its exquisite concerts within the 2024 tour with which it is touring the most prestigious auditoriums and festivals in the world. A date in which he will review his almost three decades of musical career marked by the influence of other artists such as Carmen McRae, Fats Waller, Sarah Vaughan, Roberta Flack, Nat King Cole, Dinah Washington, Shirley Horn or Aretha Franklin.
Diana Krall was born in Nanaimo, a small town in British Columbia, Canada. He started playing piano at the age of 4 and, at 15, played in a local restaurant. With the help of his father, a pianist with a vast knowledge of 1920s and 1930s keyboard masters such as Fats Waller, James P. Johnson and Earl Hines, decided to devote himself entirely to music. He received a scholarship to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and in 1993 released his first album, Stepping Out. Since then he has masterfully combined new or his own compositions with revisions of standards and imperishable works of jazz and popular music, always demonstrating an exquisite care when drawing up his repertoire. Tickets can be purchased at this link and at the ticket offices of the theatre.
