The Government of Spain yesterday condemned the recent decision to expand settlements and the appropriation of land in the West Bank and called on the Government of Israel “to reverse these decisions, which aggravate the difficult security situation in the region.”
“The settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are contrary to international law, hinder the implementation of the two-state solution and are an obstacle to peace,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added in a statement.
