The Alianza por Iberoamérica Business Council (CEAPI) has been named ‘honorary partner’ of the NGO Madrid Futuro for being “an essential organization when we talk about civil society in Ibero-America.”
As an active member and in gratitude for this title, Núria Vilanova, president of CEAPI, attended the general assembly of Madrid Futuro last Monday, where the key points for the good annual functioning of the association were reviewed.
Vilanova expressed her satisfaction at attending the event after the appointment and assured that “CEAPI will be up to the task as an honorary member. We want to contribute our grain of sand so that Madrid continues to be the capital of Ibero-American investment.”
After the assembly, the presentation of the first ‘Diagnosis on the state of the city of Madrid’ was carried out. This is a report prepared together with the British agency specialized in cities Business of Cities that evaluates both the performance and perception of the city, always in the global environment and focusing on the most relevant areas (business and investment, innovation, knowledge, mobility, quality of life, inclusion, sustainability, resilience…). The exhibition was attended by José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of Madrid and honorary president of Madrid Futuro.
Madrid Futuro is a free, neutral and non-profit platform, which is defined as “the link between companies, public institutions and society”, and which brings together one hundred private entities and public institutions. The NGO defends that Madrid “is increasingly enriched by the arrival of businessmen, students, entrepreneurs, professionals, workers or researchers from many Latin American countries who have chosen our city to live.” For this reason, the organization hopes that CEAPI will contribute “to making your life in Madrid the best possible.”
