As part of Madrid Pride 2024 and in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the French Embassy and the Instituto Francés of Spain are holding an evening event this evening from 19.30 to promote love, diversity and sport, in the presence of Spanish government ministers, the French ambassador and several athletes who have taken part in the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Following the reception of the guests, a round table on Sport and Inclusivity will be held in the Theatre of the Instituto, with the participation of the Real Madrid footballer Ivana Andrés Sanz, the water polo player and national deputy for the PSOE in the Congress Víctor Gutiérrez, the basketball player Laura Nicholls and the French photographer and coordinator of the exhibition Sport Friendly, the court of diversity, Emilien Buffard. Sports journalist Samantha Chocrón will moderate the talk.
The inauguration of the double photo exhibition Sport Friendly, the court of diversity, by Emilien Buffard, and The Titans, by Laurent Léger, will then take place at 20.30 in the High Courtyard of the Instituto, in the presence of the French Ambassador to Spain, Jean-Michel Casa, and the authorities present. The event will conclude with a cocktail reception and a DJ set. The exhibition will remain open to the public until 24 July. Admission is free.
