The Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America (CEAPI) yesterday took advantage of the celebration of its VII Congress in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) to pay tribute to King Felipe VI on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his reign.

Nuria Vilanova, president of CEAPI, highlighted the “permanent support for Ibero-America” by the King and “his commitment to each and every one of the countries in the region, attending the inaugurations of the different presidents, as well as all important events on this side of the Atlantic, always supporting institutions, entrepreneurs and those most in need.”

The business leaders of Ibero-America and the representatives of institutions present at the VII Congress of CEAPI spoke in the same sense, such as Alejandro Eder (mayor of Cali), Felipe Jaramillo (World Bank), Alfonso Gómez (Telefónica), Beatriz Corredor (REDEIA ), Adriana Sarmiento (CCXC), Antonio Huertas (Mapfre), Isabel Noboa (Nobis Group of Ecuador), Omar González (Trinity Group), Carolina Mejía (Mayor of Santo Domingo), Stanley Motta (Copa Holdings), Carlos Vargas (Andino Investments from Peru), Esteban Morabito (Maahsa Group from Paraguay), Marilyn Cochamanidis (Kuljis Cochamanidis Group from Bolivia), Ramiro Ortiz (Promérica) and Iñigo Mariscal (Marhnos).

In addition, CEAPI issued a video for the ten years of the reign of Felipe VI in which it reviews the moments in which the King accompanied the Ibero-American Council in all its activities, “always showing his support and commitment to Ibero-America and its business fabric.” . Precisely, in the video broadcast yesterday at the VII Ibero-American Congress, Felipe VI highlighted the importance of Latin American businessmen “for their impact on society, through the promotion of social commitment and sustainability from an Ibero-American vision,” and recalled that This social commitment “must motivate your work.”

Under the title ‘Believe, create and grow. Ibero-America facing the challenge of growth and productivity’, the VII Ibero-American CEAPI Congress brought together 400 presidents of leading companies and business families from Ibero-America from June 17 to 19 in Cartagena de Indias, in an event that was attended by 86 panelists. Ibero-Americans and Spaniards.

In addition to the company, the Congress was attended by personalities from the world of sports and culture, such as Alexia Putellas, 2023 Soccer World Champion, Women’s Gold Ball and The Best for the best FIFA player (Spain); Tatiana Calderón, racing driver (Colombia) and the singer Carlos Vives.

Within the institutional sphere, the participation of Lavinia Valbonesi, first lady of Ecuador, stood out; Dumek Turbay, mayor of Cartagena de Indias; Andrés Allamand, Ibero-American Secretary General (SEGIB); Sergio Díaz-Granados, executive president of CAF (Colombia); Joaquín María Aristegui, ambassador of Spain in Colombia; Eduardo Ávila, Colombian ambassador to Spain; Carlos Felipe Jaramillo, executive vice president of the World Bank for Latin America and the Caribbean (Colombia); Carlos Fernando Galán, mayor of Bogotá; Federico Gutiérrez, mayor of Medellín; Alejandro Eder, mayor of Cali; José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of Madrid and Carolina Mejía, mayor of Santo Domingo, among others.
