As part of the seminar Revisiting The Thousand and One Nights, on Monday 10 June at 9 p.m., Casa Árabe in Madrid is hosting a concert in its garden by the singer and composer Abeer Nehme. You must register in advance at this link.
Abeer Nehme is an internationally acclaimed singer. Considered one of the most important voices in the Arab world, Abeer is one of the few performers who sings in more than twenty-nine languages, making her an emissary of cultural and musical dialogue in the region. Abeer performs her music all over the world, in venues including iconic theatres and opera houses, as well as at the most prominent international festivals. Abeer is the first artist from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to sign an international record deal with Universal Music, producing three albums to date, which include hits that have gone viral with over 200 million views. In January 2024, Abeer headlined the inaugural 2023 FIFA-AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.
Casa Árabe and the Sheikh Zayed Book Prize are organising this concert by Abeer Nehme accompanied by her Lebanese band, who will also be joined by a group of Spanish musicians.
