The Cultural Department of the German Embassy is organising three events this June that are of particular interest.
Tomorrow Thursday at 19.30 in the Europa Pavilion of the Retiro Book Fair, the book Der Fussball. The secrets of German football, by Ezequiel Daray.
Football, in Germany, is much more than a sport: it helps to understand the idiosyncrasy of the Germans and their country. Next Monday, 10 June, at 7 p.m. at the Instituto Goethe, a piano concert by the renowned German-based pianist Marialy Pacheco (pictured) will take place, organised together with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. Tickets can be purchased here. Being the first female winner of the Solo competition at the Montreux Jazzfestival was the beginning of a career full of awards and international recognition.
Finally, from the 12th to the 16th of this month, the Festival de Cine Alemán de Madrid, a film festival dedicated to German film productions, from recently produced feature films, short films and documentaries to animated screenings, will be presented at the Cine Embajadores in Madrid.
