The Madrid Book Fair 2024 kicked off last Friday and the Instituto Cultural Rumano is organising 20 literary events with themes such as sport, feminism, translators, Romanian history, social issues or poetry.
This edition of the fair is related to sport, under the slogan Train your mind, read your body, and on Saturday 1 June Stejărel Olaru presented his book about the Romanian gymnast Nadia Comăneci and the secret police of Romania’s communist regime.
Among the upcoming events to be held by the Institute, we can highlight those taking place today, Tuesday: Workshop In the World of Comics, with Octav Ungureanu, director of the Bucharest Comics Fest (Romania), an activity ideal for children aged 12-13, at 11 am in the Children’s Pavilion, and at 7 pm the Poetic and Musical Recital, which will take place in the Elena Fortún Library, with Aura Christi, Miguel Gane, Eugen Barz, María García Zambrano, Carlos Jiménez Arriba and Berta García Faet, with the Spanish actress Laura Aparicio and the singer-songwriter Sheila Blanco.
