The festival Conexión Buenos Aires – Madrid will be held from 13 to 24 May at Casa de América, which will become the epicentre of Buenos Aires culture with various exhibitions, literary activities, film screenings and talks, concerts, performances, theatre, tango classes and children’s shows.

This edition is organised by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires and Casa de América, with the collaboration of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina.

This cultural festival has already become a platform that generates opportunities for musicians, visual artists, actors, producers and cultural managers with the aim of promoting culture and exchange between cities, supporting the development of artistic and creative talent and disseminating art and culture through a strategy of institutional support abroad.

In addition, this year there is the incentive of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Declaration of tango as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO and the 40th anniversary of the death of Julio Cortázar.

The new edition of Conexión Buenos Aires – Madrid is preceded by the success of last year’s edition, in which more than 10,000 people passed through the Casa de América in Madrid to enjoy the best of the culture and arts of Buenos Aires.
