The Instituto Polaco de Cultura is proposing three main events to take place during the 83rd Madrid Book Fair, which starts today and runs until 16 June.
Firstly, the acclaimed Polish illustrator Piotr Socha will be giving a workshop entitled Árboles (Trees) and signing books. With Árboles, this illustrator will reveal the extraordinary world of trees to the observer. Among other things, a monumental paper tree will be created and fascinating questions such as: Who lives in trees?… will be answered. More information on this link.
With Karolina Jaszecka, a children’s workshop will be held to learn how to make a book: from the idea to the creation, printing or translation into other languages. In this workshop you will discover what it is like to be an author or illustrator and you will see that from one idea for a book can come many final versions. Complete the information here.
Finally, there will be a round table discussion with the female mountaineers Edurne Pasaban, the first woman to climb the 14 eight-thousanders, and Anna Kamińska (in the photo), the author of the biography of the history of the most outstanding Polish mountaineer… More information in this link.
