BBVA has been recognized as the Spanish company that generates the most trust in Latin America, according to data from the study ‘The Image of the Spanish Company and its Managers in Latin America 2024’, prepared by the Mesias Institute – Brand Intelligence Spain in collaboration with the iTRUST Country Brand Intelligence firm.
According to the research, which has gathered the opinion of professors and university researchers of Economics and Business Administration and Management from 20 countries in the region, BBVA leads the ranking of ‘trusted Spanish companies’ in Latin America with a total of 42,000 points.
Completing the podium, they are followed by Telefónica, which occupies second place, with a total of 32,125 points, and Banco Santander, the entity chaired by Ana Botín, which is in third position, with 32,000 points.
Inditex and Iberia complete the ‘top 5’ of business trust, all of them above 15,000 points, according to the study, which has had the collaboration of researchers from Icade – Universidad Pontificia Comillas and the CEU San Pablo University.
Mapfre, Repsol, Santillana, Meliá Hotels International and Iberdrola complete the Top10 of excellence in trust generated in the region by Spanish companies.
By sector, the Financial Institutions sector stands out first, followed by the Telecommunications sector. In third place is the Fashion sector. The Air Traveler Transport sector and the Energy sector complete the Top 5; all of them above 17,000 points.
The study, which includes the Spanish companies that generate the greatest trust in Latin America, is part of the International Image Observatory of Spanish Companies, a set of studies and rankings that analyze the trust generated by Spanish companies and their brands, as well as the image they project and their level of reputation, internationally.
