If on that occasion the author recreated the last hours of Alfonso XII, on this occasion he reviews the amorous and political conflicts of his successors. ¡Adiós, Borbón! dramatises the love affairs of Alfonso XIII with the actress Carmen Ruiz Moragas. El Borbón rojo presents the ordeal of Don Juan de Borbón to maintain his rights to the crown in the face of the dictator Francisco Franco and his own son Juan Carlos. Finally, Un Borbón en el desierto delves into some obscure events concerning the emeritus king, Juan Carlos I, and especially his love, business and hunting relationship with the businesswoman Corinna Larsen. A dramatic and burlesque review of the last Bourbons that is also an overview of Spanish history over the last century.
