On Sunday 26 May at 12.30 p.m., the Espacio Ronda Madrid (Ronda de Segovia, 50) presents the concert Aires de Primavera, “a compilation of works referring to the world of nature, that which makes up the environment where our lives take place, that is, the world of everyone”, according to the soprano Laura Muñoz, who will be accompanied on the piano by Marleen Van de Zande and Carlos Granados on castanets.
We have collected and grouped together many, many roses,” stresses Laura Muñoz. We have walked along paths and riverbanks, rested under the shade of leafy trees. We have said goodbye to the birds as they come and go. We have talked to the sun and the moon, and we have asked the wind to carry our sighs. We have rejoiced in the dawn and enjoyed the starry night as we felt the seasons come and go one after the other. Let this concert be a modest musical tribute to this Nature, so beautiful and diverse, which gives us so much and which, unfortunately, we mistreat so much”.
The concert programme includes pieces such as Porgy and Bess, by George Gershwin; De los álamos vengo, by Joaquín Rodrigo; Moon River, by Henry Mancini; ‘O sole mio!, by Eduardo di Capua; La rosa enflorece, a Sephardic song; Niñas que a vender flores, by F. Asenjo Barbieri, and the Song of Solveig, by Edvard Grieg. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
