The Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business of Spain, Carlos Cuerpo, and the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, Germán Umaña, inaugurated yesterday in Bogotá the Spain-Colombia Business Meeting, which brings together nearly one hundred Spanish companies and more of 120 premises to identify investment opportunities.
The event has been organized by the Secretary of State for Commerce of Spain, through ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Bogotá, in collaboration with the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE). and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting seeks to connect Spanish companies with the investment opportunities that are opening up in Colombia in various sectors such as water and environment, education, energy, transportation infrastructure, information and communication technologies (ICT). In addition, it will put them in contact with Colombian companies to identify collaboration projects in one of Spain’s main commercial partners in the region.
The event brought together nearly one hundred Spanish companies and more than 120 stores, with the presence of more than 450 attendees. The 70 planned B2B business conferences have been taking place since yesterday and will continue today, Wednesday. “We have all the necessary elements to make this alliance between our two countries an element of opportunity, progress, development and joint modernization of our economies,” Cuerpo declared in his speech.
