As part of the II Ciclo Teatro y Derechos Humanos organised by the Teatro Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa, the premiere of El largo camino (Historias de Ucrania)–The Long Road (Stories from Ukraine), a project by the company Los Sueños de Fausto directed by Miguel Ángel Quirós that shows different perspectives of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, will take place next Thursday in its Sala Jardiel Poncela.

El largo camino (Historias de Ucrania) tells the story of many people through a few, the women, mothers and daughters, those who suffer most in the war, and the workers who take care of receiving refugees. This proposal invites us to reflect on the devastating consequences of armed conflicts and the importance of empathy and solidarity in difficult times, also highlighting the great value of teamwork, cultural mediation and rapid adaptation to new circumstances.

This project is based on a series of interviews with people from the conflict in Ukraine and Russia, after which a Ukrainian playwright (Viktoriia Chernobuk) and two Spanish playwrights (Manuel Benito and Raúl Quirós) have each written a short play that shows a different perspective: the experience before the war, the situation during the conflict and the point of view of the social workers who receive exiled people. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
