Next Thursday at 8 p.m., the Instituto Francés of Madrid will preview the film Iris, the third feature film by the French director Caroline Vignal and the second in which she features the actress Laure Calamy. Director and actress will attend the preview. Reservations are essential at this link.
The screening of the film Iris, which will be released in Spanish cinemas on 31 May, will be in the original version with Spanish subtitles.
This new comedy by Caroline Vignal focuses on desire. The film is an ode to female desire, a racy and unprejudiced tale that puts the sexuality of mature women at the centre. It is a vindication of the life, attractiveness, desire, passion and fun that persist at the age of 50.
Laure Calamy plays Iris, a married woman with an exemplary husband and two wonderful daughters. Her work and personal life are running smoothly and she also has good friends around her, but 50 is just around the corner. Suddenly, a voice in her head tells her that she should look for a lover to give her life a different touch. The trailer for the film can be seen here.
