In the framework of the exhibition The Berlin Wall. A World Divided, the Canal Isabel II Foundation (Calle Mateo Inurria, 2), is organising this evening at 6.30 p.m. a lecture by Prof. Dr. Axel Klausmeier (in the photo), director of the Berlin Wall Foundation. Free event with limited places.
Dr. Axel Klausmeier will share his perspective on the vital role that historical heritage plays in today’s society, from his experience as director of the institution that looks after the memory and preservation of history’s greatest symbol of division, whose legacy helps to understand the world today.
Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the public can visit The Berlin Wall at the Canal Foundation’s Sala Castellana 214. A World Divided, created by Musealia, the first major travelling exhibition on this fundamental period in history.
In the exhibition, organised by a curatorial team led by Dr. Gerhard Sälter, Head of Research and Documentation at the Berlin Wall Foundation, and Dr. Christian Ostermann, Director of the History and Public Policy Program and the Cold War International History Project at the Wilson Center, Musealia applies its creative vision, narrative, careful museography and the inclusion of key elements such as the audio guide.
