The Algerian ambassador to Spain, Abdelfetah Daghmoum, will present his Letters of Credence before the King, at the Royal Palace, this Monday, as will five other new ambassadors.
In addition to the Algerian representative, the ambassador of Albania, Entela Gjika; the ambassador of Uzbekistan, Farrukh Tursunov; the ambassador of Panama, Itzel Anays Patiño Guerra de Villarreal; the ambassador of Serbia, Irena Sarac; and the ambassador of Ecuador, Wilma Piedad Andrade.
After the presentation of their Letters of Credence, the ambassadors will speak for a few minutes with the Monarch, about issues of their country and bilateral relations with Spain.
The presentation of Credentials by the new Algerian ambassador will take place two years after the Algerian Government decided to call the previous ambassador for consultations in protest against the change of position of the Spanish Executive on Western Sahara, decided by Pedro Sánchez, in March of 2022.
Abdelfetah Daghmoum received approval from the Spanish authorities in mid-November and a month later he arrived in Madrid. After presenting his Copies of Letters of Credence at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and work began in our country, although only now, with the delivery of the Credentials to the King, will his full accreditation take place.
