This past Tuesday, the Council of Ministers sent the Agreement on Air Transport between Spain and Chile to the Cortes Generales (Spanish Parliament), while authorizing the expression of Spain’s consent to be bound by the aforementioned agreement.
The agreement, authorized by the Council of Ministers on June 14, 2022 and signed in Montreal on October 1, 2022, develops and modifies the legal framework applicable to the operation of regular air services between both countries, adapting it to community regulations. With the entry into force of this agreement, the current Convention on Commercial Air Transport Services of December 17, 1974 is repealed.
