The Instituto Cultural Rumano and the Romanian Embassy offered last Thursday at the Real Casino de Madrid a classical guitar recital by the Kitharsis Duo, in which they performed the most famous pieces of traditional Spanish and Romanian music.

Alexandra and Dragos won the First Prize at the 20th edition of the International Chamber Music Competition Ciutat d’Elx in 2018.

The concert programme included works signed by Romanian composers such as Grigoras Dinicu, Catalin Stefanescu-Patrascu and Iosif Ivanovici, as well as works by Spanish masters such as Isaac Albéniz, Manuel de Falla, Francisco Tárrega, Félix Máximo López, Joaquín Rodrigo and Pablo de Sarasate.

The Instituto Cultural Rumano is developing a series of conferences entitled Romanian Symphonism in Spain, in which this recital by the Duo Kitharsis was framed, the next appointment being on April 16th at 19:00 in the Real Casino de Madrid with the conference My relationship with the maestro Sergiu Celibidache, given by the orchestra conductor and maestro Enrique García Asensio.
