The Mexican film Radical, directed by Christopher Zalla and starring Eugenio Derbez, has been released in cinemas in Spain, and previously opened to great acclaim in cinemas in the United States, and in Mexico it became the highest-grossing Mexican drama film in history.

Mexican actor and comedian Eugenio Derbez is considered one of the most influential Hispanic people in the entertainment industry (Variety). Derbez has also been a director and producer of international films such as No Returns Accepted and has been involved in the 2022 Oscar-winning film CODA: The Sounds of Silence. He also won an Emmy Award for the series LOL: Last One Laughing, which he hosted and produced.

Based on a true story, this film tells the story of Sergio, an elementary school teacher, who joins one of the most troubled schools in a Mexican border town. Determined to empower his students, he implements a radical teaching method based on encouraging the curiosity of his students. With creativity and a sense of humour, Sergio will face the incomprehension of his colleagues and a very difficult environment to give the children the best possible future.
