The Diplomat
Spanish soprano Ainhoa Arteta, Armenian pianist Kristina Gharibiyan and Indian choreographer Shreyashree Nag -accompanied by dancers Vanisha Detani and Anoushka Dasgupta– were the stars of the Charity Gala Dinner organised by the International Association of Diplomats in Spain (AIDE).
Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the constitution of the Association of Diplomatic Ladies, AIDE’s predecessor, the gala brought together diplomats and businessmen at the Hyatt Regency Hesperia Hotel in Madrid to participate in the raffle and auction organised to raise funds for the Queen Sofia Foundation, whose secretary thanked the attendees.
For her part, AIDE president Poonam Patnaik expressed her intention to “continue strengthening the image of AIDE and its activities, adding more new and interesting experiences” and to “expand our association by reaching out to more ambassadors, spouses and fellow diplomats”, as well as “widening our circle of contacts in Spain’s socio-cultural environment”.
