In the framework of the celebration of International Women’s Day 2024, last Friday, the Embassy of Palestine held an event to pay tribute to Palestinian Women.

Together with Ambassador Husni Abdel Wahed, the Minister of Youth and Children, Sira Rego, participated in the event, together with members and friends of the Palestinian community in Madrid.

Both the ambassador and the minister expressed their dismay at the “massacre that the Israeli government is carrying out against the Palestinian people, where 31,000 victims have already been recorded, in particular, said the ambassador, 9,000 women and 13,000 children in Gaza in 5 months”. For her part, the minister Sira Rego said “it has been very moving to listen to the colleagues who have shared their testimonies with us”.
