Depths of femininity in ‘Feminitas: tres miradas ecuatorianas’

The Embassy of Ecuador invites you to participate in the opening of the exhibition Feminitas: tres miradas ecuatorianas (Feminitas: three Ecuadorian gazes) next Friday at 12 noon at the Museo de América (Av. de los Reyes Católicos, 6).

This exhibition, which can be visited until 7 July 2024, features the works of Ecuadorian painters Jaime Zapata, Jorge Perugachy and Miguel Betancourt, who pay tribute to women and invite the viewer to reflect on the depths of femininity through the different perspectives of these artists.

The exhibition is curated by Ludovica Cadario, who, through the pictorial work of these artists, presents three Ecuadorian views of the feminine. Through three different, multiple and personal styles and approaches, the exhibition becomes an unprecedented compilation of interpretations of the feminine: there are powerful women, dignified women, women goddesses and women metaphors or symbols of what lies beyond pure representation.
