Next Thursday 7th March at 18.30, Fundación Japón presents in the auditorium of the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Madrid Jesús Maestro (calle Jesús Maestro, 5) a mini Japanese musical theatre entitled La Princesa Kaguya and a concert of Japanese songs under the name of Nippon no Uta for all lovers of Japanese language and culture. Free admission until full capacity is reached.

The story of Princess Kaguya begins when an elderly peasant couple find a tiny girl inside a bamboo plant and decide to adopt her as their daughter. Quickly transformed into a beautiful woman, she is sought after by many men, including the emperor. However, her initial joy is reduced to sadness, as she claims that people from the moon, where she is from, will come for her.
