The Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson and the Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia have inaugurated The Collection of the Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia. Between Bosch and Sorolla, an exhibition that brings together more than a hundred masterpieces from the collection of the Valencian art gallery, which can be seen at the Foundation’s centre in Madrid (Calle Alcalá Galiano, 6) until 14 July with free admission.

The exhibition, which brings together more than a hundred masterpieces by artists such as Gherardo Starnina, Joan de Joanes, Bosch, Ribera, Zurbarán, Rubens, Benlliure, Pinazo, Muñoz Degraín and Sorolla, among others, spans from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century.

With this exhibition, which is free of charge, both institutions want to contribute to the knowledge, beyond their community, of the rich heritage that the Fine Arts Museum of Valencia, one of the most important in Spain, treasures. This is the first time that the art gallery has organised an exhibition of this importance outside the Museum, and the exhibition is presented as a chronological selection of all its holdings.
