The Taiwanese Ministry of Culture and the Taipei Cultural Economic Office in Spain, in collaboration with the Yiri Arts gallery in Taipei, are organising La semana del arte de Taiwán en Madrid (Taiwan Art Week), which will showcase the work of seven Taiwanese artists, from 6 to 10 March.
Founded in 2014 in the city of Taipei by Taiwanese collector and curator Orton Huang, the Yiri Arts gallery regularly presents pioneering exhibitions, avant-garde projects and specialised art publications. It offers art consultancies with the aim of generating an inclusive shared language, both locally and internationally, to bring people together and “make art enrich people’s lives”.
For the first time, Yiri Arts gallery represents Taiwan at three major contemporary art fairs in Madrid simultaneously: Art Madrid, 6-10 March at Palacio de Cibeles; Hybrid Art Fair, 7-10 March at Hotel Petit Palace Santa Barbara; and Uvnt Art Fair, 7-10 March at Matadero Madrid.
