The Diplomat
The measures to cut public spending that the new president of Argentina, Javier Milei, has been adopting have also reached the Embassy of that country in Madrid.
A few days ago, the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic published a decree from the president by which
Nimo, who is not a diplomat, had been appointed in April of last year by the previous Government as economic advisor and now the Milei Executive has decided to dismiss him and amortize the position, in order to achieve “better efficiency in the operation of the national state and optimize human and financial resources,” according to the decree.
The Argentine Embassy in Madrid is currently waiting for Roberto Bosch to assume his position as the new ambassador. The diplomat, who was minister counselor with the previous ambassador, Ricardo Alfonsín, has been chargé d’affaires since his return to Buenos Aires, and has apparently already received approval from the Spanish authorities.
