The Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid invites to an extraordinary meeting this evening at 7 p.m., entitled Como resonancias errantes, with the author, playwright and artistic co-director of the Theatre Sector of the Venice Biennale, Gianni Forte, in dialogue with the director Marialuisa Pappalardo. Gianni Forte will talk about his work, his artistic research and share some advances of his latest creation, a new text he is working on these days, partly written here at the Institute, where he is doing an artistic residency.
Forte is a board member of the Tbilisi International GIFT Festival since 2023. He is also the co-founder and artistic director of the ensemble ricci/forte performing arts since 2006.
Gianni Forte graduated in Slavic Philology in Rome and began his career as an actor under the direction of leading masters of Italian theatre and cinema. In addition to his work in the ensemble, he is dedicated to the training and support of young artists. He has participated in several programmes and collaborations, including the École des Maîtres in France, Belgium, Portugal, Croatia and Italy, the Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique in Palermo and the École Supérieure d’Art Dramatique in Paris. Since 2021, he has been involved in annual calls to support new generations of filmmakers, authors and performers within the scope of the Venice Biennale College. Since 2022, he has also been leading a creative writing Master Class in collaboration with Cie A Corps Rompus in different regions of France. Some of his most recent texts are Prikradatelj, Carnivores de la désespeérance and Éclats de mémoire désordonée à l’encre polychrome.
