The Diplomat
His Majesty the King will receive today at the Zarzuela Palace a delegation of relatives of those kidnapped by Hamas, during the attacks perpetrated by that terrorist organization against Israel on October 7.
The delegation, which will remain in Madrid until Thursday, includes one of the hostages -Clara Marman- who was freed after spending time kidnapped, but whose brother, Fernando Simón Marman, and partner, Luis Har, remain in the power of Hamas.
Likewise, the delegation, which has traveled to Spain to draw attention to the situation experienced by the kidnapped people, includes relatives of five other Israelis, who have not yet been released.
On several occasions, the Monarch has condemned the actions of Hamas and has requested the release of those kidnapped. He did so at the Conference of Ambassadors on January 11 and, more recently, on the 31st of that same month, during the reception he offered at the Royal Palace to the Diplomatic Corps.
Before the ambassadors accredited in Madrid, among whom were the Israeli ambassador, Rebeca Radian-Gordon, and the head of the Palestinian Mission, Husni Abdel Wahel, Don Felipe denounced the “execrable terrorist attack” by Hamas and demanded the immediate release of the hostages, as well as a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
