The Spanish Chamber of Commerce joined the Board of Trustees of the Elcano Royal Institute yesterday, after its approval at the meeting on December 13, 2023, as reported by this think tank in a press release.
José Luis Bonet, president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, and José Juan Ruiz, president of the Elcano Royal Institute, participated in the signing of the patronage agreement. The Spanish Chamber of Commerce is a public law corporation, which is entrusted by law with the representation, promotion and defense of the general interests of Spanish companies.
It coordinates and represents the network of territorial Chambers of Commerce, which has 84 Chambers in Spain and 44 Chambers abroad, and is an advisory body for public administrations.
In addition, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce is a beneficiary and intermediate body for the management of the European Regional Development Fund and the European Social Fund. It is also a beneficiary, collaborator and instrumental entity of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union, through the Next Generation EU Funds.
“By joining the Board of Trustees, the Elcano Royal Institute makes the Spanish Chamber of Commerce a participant in its projects, actions, work groups, etc., offering it to actively participate in the different initiatives organized around its activities,” added the press release.
