Tomorrow Thursday at 7.30 p.m., the Instituto Francés in Madrid will host a concert by the Madrid harpsichordist Yago Mahúgo.
As part of the launch of his latest album, this internationally renowned artist will perform some of the most eminent compositions by the French composer François Couperin. The concert will be presented by the journalist Rubén Amón.
Yago Mahugo will also present his latest CD, in which he covers a repertoire of French baroque music of which he is one of the best interpreters in the world. This is particularly the case with the compositions of François Couperin, the 17th century French composer and harpsichordist, and one of the leading figures in Baroque music. Yago Mahugo is internationally regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of his work. This concert will be dedicated to the prestigious critic and musicologist Eduardo Torrico, who recently passed away, and who was editor-in-chief of the magazine Scherzo.
