Casa Mediterráneo celebrates the Amazigh New Year with Berber culture

Next Saturday 13th January at 5 p.m., Casa Mediterráneo and the Algerian Cultural Association El Djazairia present in Torre de Rejas. Cmo. Benimagrell 47, Alicante the Amazigh New Year Celebration: Yannaer between song, dance and much more.

 

The event will be opened by Rabea Djellal, president of the Association, followed by the conference Yannaer: origins, tradition and celebrations, by Naïma Benaicha Ziani, professor of the Arab and Islamic Studies Area of the UA.

 

There will also be various activities such as an exhibition of handicrafts, carpets, ceramics, jewellery, among others; tasting of typical dishes of Yannaer day; parade of traditional Berber costumes, such as the Kabyle and the Chawi; as well as musical performances with the singer Nadia Baroud, and folk dances with the group El-Djazairia fused with flamenco. Finally, the event will end with a farewell cocktail. To attend it is necessary to confirm attendance on wassapp 655 03 33 33 12 or email rabea.91@hotmail.com.
