The film Wonka, a prequel to the story told in Roald Dahl’s fantastic 1964 book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is still in cinemas.
This new film, directed by Paul King, stars Timothée Chalamet, Olivia Colman, Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Grant and Sally Hawkins, among others.
“All good things in this world begin with a dream,” says Wonka during the film. So, hold on to yours.”
Based on the character that stars in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling books of all time, Wonka tells the story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolatier became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today, focusing on his youth and how he met an Oompa-Loompa on one of his first adventures.
