The Diplomat
The Canadian Ambassador to Spain, Wendy Drukier, received the Gold Medal of Honour from the Royal Corps of the Nobility of the Principality of Asturias on 15 December on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Canada and Spain.
The Ambassador expressed her gratitude for the distinction, which was presented to her by the Corporation’s Master Councillor and Duke of Seville, Francisco de Borbón, in a speech in which she adressed the bilateral relations between the two nations during her term of office.
The traditional Christmas lunch of the Asturian Corporation was attended, among others, by the ambassadors of Bulgaria, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Poland, Moldova, Estonia and Nicaragua.
