From today until 21 January, the Real Jardín Botánico of Madrid (Plaza de Murillo, 2) is hosting an immersive exhibition with images and unpublished material from the series Cristóbal Balenciaga, which Disney+ will premiere on its platform on 19 January 2024.
This audiovisual exhibition, which features handmade replicas of the dresses used in the filming, also allows visitors to feel as if they are inside the episodes of the series through unpublished images of the fashion shows and the different moments of his life, from his beginnings in Paris in 1937, when Cristóbal Balenciaga presented his first haute couture collection in Paris, through his entire professional career in his workshops in Madrid and San Sebastián, to his consecration as one of the most important designers of all time.
The series has been created by Lourdes Iglesias and award-winning directors Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño and Jose Mari Goenaga. It stars Alberto San Juan as the master of Guetaria, and Bina Daigeler, Academy Award® nominee for Walt Disney Studios’ live-action film Mulan. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
