Yesterday, the Council of Ministers approved several contributions to different cooperation funds of international financial institutions for a total amount of 78 million euros.
At the top of these contributions, proposed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, is the Spanish General Cooperation Fund (FGCE) at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), for a total of 35,500,000 euros.
It is followed by the World Bank Group’s International Development Association (IDA) Crisis Facility, for a total of 30 million euros, and the World Bank Group’s Spanish Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean (SFLAC), for a total of 10 million euros.
This was followed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Multi-Donor Fund (SEMED) and Spain’s new bilateral fund at CAF-Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean for technical cooperation in climate and biodiversity, both for one million euros. Closing the list in terms of amount is the Western Balkans Joint European Fund under the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with EUR 500,000.
