The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Spain, represented by its Head of Economic Affairs, Ali Al Nuaimi, presented the business opportunities offered by this country in the green and renewable energy sectors during a workshop organised by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE).
In front of a large group of Spanish businessmen, Al Nuaimi also emphasised during his speech “the UAE’s dedication to fostering international collaboration to address pressing environmental challenges and create a platform for effective dialogue on climate action”.
In the same context, Hassan Al Suwaidi, from the Department of Economic Affairs of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gave a detailed presentation of the privileges and advantages that the UAE government offers not only to Spanish companies, but to all foreign companies interested in investing in the country.
During his speech, he explained to the Spanish delegation the business-friendly environment and support mechanisms available to foreign investors. Of particular interest was the emphasis on business opportunities in the green and renewable energy sectors, aligning with Spain’s focus on environmental responsibility.
The workshop, led by Cristina Revero, Director of the Department of Industry, Energy, Environment and Climate Change of the CEOE, focused on the celebration of the COP28 in Dubai, highlighting the importance of the event and the objectives that the United Arab Emirates have set for this meeting.
For her part, Teresa Solana, advisor and member of the Spanish Climate Change Office of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, described the objectives that Spain will be working on during COP28.
After the presentations, a dynamic debate between the Spanish and Emirati delegations demonstrated the “shared commitment to promote sustainable economic growth and collaboration between the two nations”, according to the Arab Embassy in a statement.
