Equipo Europa, Spain’s leading pro-European youth association, is holding the Forum on the Future of the EU, an event of international relevance that will take place in Madrid on 17, 18 and 19 November 2023.
During the three days, it will host more than 200 young people from all over the EU and has the support of the offices of the European Parliament and the European Commission, the Madrid City Council, the German, French and Dutch Embassies, the Popular, Socialist and Liberal Parliamentary Groups in the European Parliament, and the collaboration of the Repsol Foundation, Political Watch, Kreab, Deloitte and Talento para el Futuro.
The inauguration will take place on Friday 17 November at 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the Instituto Francés (Calle del Marqués de la Ensenada, 12) and will bring together prominent leaders within the European Union, such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, and Margaritis Schinás, Vice-President of the European Commission for the Promotion of the European Way of Life. In addition, the German Ambassador to Spain, Maria Margarete Gosse, and the French Ambassador to Spain, Jean-Michel Casa, will share their countries’ perspectives on the future of Europe and collaboration in the European Union.
On 18 and 19 November, Team Europe will present its proposals for the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU and the European elections on the green agenda, digitalisation, the European Social Pillar, equality and foreign policy. Team Europe is a non-partisan association of young pro-Europeans created in 2019 as a result of the #ThisTimeVote campaign for the European Parliament elections. Equipo Europa currently represents more than four thousand young people and is present in all the Autonomous Communities. Since its inception, it has worked to bring the work of the European institutions closer to Spanish citizens, especially young people, in close collaboration with the offices of the European Parliament and the European Commission in Spain and the main institutions in the country.
