During the opening of the I Spain-Taiwan Smart City Business Forum and Meeting, held at the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, the Taiwanese Ambassador, Vivia Chang, expressed her wish that “through the exchange of ideas, we can have a starting point for the cooperation of both parties“.
The meeting, focused on deepening Spanish-Taiwanese cooperation in technological innovation, was attended by a large delegation of Taiwanese companies of cutting-edge technology for smart cities. The delegation is led by the Taipei Informatics Association and representatives of the Digital Industries Administration and the Kaohsiung City Council.
Taiwan Smart City Deputy Secretary General Cynthia Chen stressed that “Taiwan has a strong presence in the information technology, communication and semiconductor industries and possesses a complete supply chain,” which in her opinion “are the essential foundations for smart city development.”
The Taiwanese delegation also participates, since yesterday, in the Smart Cities 2023 World Congress of Exhibitions. Its objective is to identify synergies and promote the Smart City Summit & Expo SCSE 2024 to be held in Taipei and Kaohsiung from March 19 to 23, 2024, to which Ambassador Chang has invited representatives of Spanish companies to participate.
