The Diplomat
The director of the Instituto Cervantes, Luis García Montero, and the rector of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (Mexico), Santos Guzmán, yesterday signed an agreement to strengthen academic, cultural and library collaboration between the two institutions.
Under the agreement, signed at the Institute’s headquarters in Madrid, the two institutions will co-organize conferences, workshops and exhibitions of common interest, among other initiatives, according to a press release from Instituto Cervantes.
In addition, the Instituto Cervantes will help undergraduate and graduate students to undertake academic training at Cervantes centers in various countries, and will incorporate digital publications published by the university (which is celebrating its 90th anniversary) into its Electronic Library catalog for the dissemination of culture and science in Spanish.
