A delegation of companies and representatives of the administration of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will visit Spain to participate in the 1st Spain-Taiwan Smart City Business Forum and Meeting, to be held on November 6, at 10:30 am, at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, according to the Economic and Cultural Office of Taipei in a press release.
The conference will be open to Spanish companies and institutions with the aim of deepening the ties between the technological innovation ecosystems of Taiwan and Spain. It will be attended by a delegation of Taiwanese cutting-edge technology companies for smart cities led by the Taipei IT Association, as well as representatives of the Administration for Digital Industries and the Kaohsiung City Council.
The Taiwanese delegation will also visit the 2023 Smart City Expo World Congress 2023, which is being held in Barcelona from November 7 to 9, in order to identify synergies and promote the Smart City Summit & Expo SCSE 2024 to be held in Taipei and Kaohsiung from March 19 to 23, 2024.
Taiwan is a high-tech island with a dynamic ICT-oriented industry. The implementation of 5G technology, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things provides an ideal environment for the development of smart cities in Taiwan.
Taiwanese companies in the delegation include Chunghwa Telecom, (Taiwan’s first telecom operator, specializing in smart management tools and graphical display interface); ASUSTek, (technology leader in the smart city ecosystem: cloud, IoT, Big Data, AI); LITE-ON Technology Corporation (smart LED lighting and energy saving and security solutions); Aeon Matrix Inc. (smart irrigation solutions); Aeroprobing Inc. (unmanned aerial systems); and AdvMeds (smart healthcare solutions).
