The Fundación Ramón Areces presents the book Cien años de diplomacia cultural española/una aproximación histórica (One Hundred Years of Spanish Cultural Diplomacy/A Historical Approach) on Thursday 2 November at 7 p.m. at its headquarters at Calle Vitruvio, 5, Madrid.
The event will include a lecture by Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, film director and writer, and a round table discussion with the participation of Santiago Herrero, AECID; Fernando Rodríguez Lafuente, Revista de Occidente, and Eva Ortega-Paíno, RAICEX. The moderator will be Joan Álvarez Valencia, coordinator of the book.
On the first anniversary of the launch of Spanish Cultural Diplomacy as one of the substantive practices of Spanish diplomacy, the Ramón Areces Foundation organised two round tables in which diplomats, historians and experts shared a multidisciplinary and systematic vision of what can be called a historical approach to the past hundred years.
As a continuation of that initiative, the Fundación Ramón Areces expanded on what was then presented to complete the book Cien años de diplomacia cultural española/una aproximación histórica. Limited capacity. Free attendance with prior online registration at this link.
