Raghad A. Alsaqqa replaces Areej Mahmoud as Jordanian ambassador to Spain

Diplomat Raghad A. Alsaqqa has relieved Areej Mahmoud as ambassador of Jordan in Spain, after presenting the Copies of her Letters of Credence at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

Raghad A. Alsaqqa, who presented the Copies on September 25 to the introducer of ambassadors, María Sebastián de Erice, was until now director in the Department of Human Rights and Human Security in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Jordanian Expats.

 

The new ambassador has a degree in Law and, although Spain is her first Embassy, she was already in charge of the Jordanian Embassy in Tokyo, as Chargé d’Affaires, in 2018 and 2019.

 

Throughout his diplomatic career, which began in 1995, Raghad A. Alsaqqa has also been posted at the Embassies in the Netherlands, Lebanon and France, and has held various positions in the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as head of from Oceania, North America and international organizations.
