As part of the In scena a Palazzo cycle, the Instituto Italiano de Cultura is organising the Go the Distance concert this evening at 8 p.m., by a very young and already very successful duo, Luca Zennaro (guitar) and Michelangelo Scandroglio (double bass).
The group, formed by two of the most interesting up-and-coming talents in European jazz, is characterised by a sound that spans the jazz, folk and contemporary genres. The duo was born on the terraces of Chioggia and breathes in the streets of Florence, where, thanks to the absence of a rhythm instrument and a common musical identity, the two musicians create new sound horizons. Both composers create a repertoire characterised by original pieces and a reinterpretation of some pieces of the Italian national heritage, from Puccini to De Andrè to Morricone. This is Go the Distance at heart, a meeting place halfway where one can dream of the past and imagine the future. Free admission until full capacity is reached. Advance booking is essential at: confirmaciones.iicmadrid@gmail.com, stating the details of all persons for whom the booking is being made and contact telephone number.
