In the context of the 33rd anniversary of the awarding of the Nobel Prize for Literature and the 25th anniversary of his death, the Fundación Casa de México and Casa Marie José and Octavio Paz will pay tribute to the writer Octavio Paz on Saturday 21st October at 5pm in the Foundation’s cinema auditorium.
In a day that will combine analysis and readings aloud, the two tables in memory of the poet and essayist, author of Libertad bajo palabra and El laberinto de la soledad, will bring together Mexican and Spanish authors to honour the work and memory of the Mexican writer.
Taking part in the tribute will be Jeanette L. Clariond, speaker, poet and translator, director and editor of the publishing house Vaso Roto, with a presence in Spain and Mexico; Luis Arturo Guichard, philologist, translator and essayist, professor of Greek Philology at the University of Salamanca, and Carlos Rubio Rosell, who has worked as a journalist in Spanish and Mexican newspapers such as El País, La Vanguardia, La Jornada, Reforma and Milenio, and in magazines such as Ajo Blanco, Quimera, Revista de Occidente and Zenda.
