The spokesman for the Vox Group, Manuel Gavira, yesterday called on the Andalusian Government to support the Cadiz town of La Línea de la Concepción as “the headquarters of the future European Agency against Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism”.
The Vox leader, who will defend a non-legislative proposal in the Andalusian Parliament in this regard, stated that “this agency has to be in the Campo de Gibraltar”, specifically in La Línea, “with the aim of giving them a bird’s eye view of the money laundering and piracy in this area”.
Gaviría criticised, in a note, the President of the Government in office, Pedro Sánchez, who has “renounced” that Spain should host the headquarters of this Anti-Money Laundering Agency of the European Union, “in this boost that he wants to give to the minister Nadia Calviño as vice-president of the European Investment Bank, opening up to support that this agency should be located in Germany, in exchange for the support of the German government for the socialist”.
